The things we don't do.

It is funny how;
Some people who live in Utah don't ski.
People in Omaha, just have to pretend.

There  are hipsters in Santa Cruz who have never surfed.
I will just play my little guitar.
And folks who have lived their whole lives in Seattle and have never been in the Space Needle.
Maybe they are afraid to be hit by a flock of angry birds.

People spend hundreds of dollars to visit such places. It's fun stuff!

Living in Las Vegas I have played my share of penny slots, lots of slot. But have never visited a sports book.
You don't even need to get out of the car at the Fiesta!
Chell and I got to talking this morning about the Kentucky Derby and the big Mayflower vs. Cotto fight, and all the money those events bring into Vegas.

How sweet they are going to kiss!
So Chell being a sports knowledgeable , decided she was going to do a Vegas thing, and bet a little on the Derby.

Normally it is pretty empty.. (until football season.)

Today lines at every window and every seat supporting a beer belly.

Chell bet the long shots.. A time honored tradition, just this time with real cash and stuff this time.

She didn't win, but as she said, 'None of the horses got hurt, so everyone wins.'

Plus she got a T-shirt for placing a bet.

This horse is getting carrots and sugar tonight.. Served on $100 dollar bills.   (Winner I'll Have Another.)
Although it was fun watching her get excited and giving quick peeks of the odds.
I think we will skip betting on the fight tonight..
Maybe next time..

"Only bet what you can lose, just a little cash can make it fun."
I hate it when horses give advice.
